Changing Kirby roller cap ends ?

Is it possible to swap the cap ends on a Kirby head Or reposition the magnet to the other end of the roller.

My own use Kirby could do with a new roller brush and the spare I have has the indicator at the opposite end also the large & small end caps opposite to what would fit.

My wifes Kirby is over 20 years and a bit battered so not too bothered with the cosmetics of it.

If you mean the newest style caps they come off. If you put on a different roller they would fit. The magnet if you switched brush roll basically opposite or backwards agitation wouldn't be good and magnet wouldn't hit bpi sensor. You could put bpi on the other side but you still have a brush roll not working worth ish.
I'd say buy a used brush roll for under $20 and use it. I have bought one just for caps as I busted one side. I had a trash one I took caps off and used the used brush roll. I cleaned hair off used soap and water dried with paper towels and it was almost brand new. So don't try fudging something up. Buy a used brush roll.swap caps and vacuum will be aesthetically pleasing and function properly.

It looks like I will need to purchase another brush as the cap ends on this one dont come off.

Is this an OEM part? I have been able to disassemble all OEM styles so far. Can you post a picture of what you have?

I didn't want to force them but knowing they actually come off it was easy enough.
