I have one of those in the vacuum cleaner museum. It is called a domestic cyclone. Ours works perfectly. And it was free. It was made between 1902 through 1915. Nothing at all to write home about. I would have rather used a broom. Very ineffective, not to mention a lot of work. People who visit the Museum laugh at its unusefulness.

Plus two people required to use this vacuum-one to pump it-the other to use the tool and hose.A broom needs only one person to use to do the same job.

I wasn't "sucked in" to his efforts to haggle. Though I am into collecting
non-electrics at the moment. Just a basic starter set: a Feeny plunger vac; a Superior sweeper vac; a Doty upright; and, a Bissel Standard carpet sweeper.

Always on the lookout for a Vac-u-ette, just sayin'.

The Vacuette

Tom's at the Vacuum museum is pretty cool. It doesn't really matter if it sucks much out of the carpet. It's a unique bridge between plain sweepers and electric vacuums.

And, I uncovered a second one while we were going through the store room on the last day of the vacuum collectors convention. I would have sworn I only have one, but it appears I have two.

So...uh...does that mean that the "in the way, one too many" Vacuette may be available? My office needs a vacuette to join the Bissell Grand Rapids and Reeves pump vacuum.
