My cat Sophie seems to appreciate my Tristar CXL since I recently completed its restoration. When I occasionally bring it out she cuddles up to it for a quick nap. Actually, I think she is attracted to the residual sent of the bleach used to clean the white bumper

My Melvin liked the vacuum. He would lay in front or on it while it was running. Now goggie doesn't even like to be in the house with them. I come into the living room with a vacuum, and dog heads for the back door.

My two cats are a bit skeptical of the vacuums but they'll observe the Electrolux canisters or the Kirby uprights in action from a discrete distance. The Hoover QuikBrooms, however, send them running for cover. Maybe it's because they're primarily used to suck up cat litter.

I have a large German Shelherd who sheds buckets

My German Sheperd sheds massive amounts of hair twice a year. I tried out the pet hair tool on my Classic III. Bad idea. She turned into 65 lbs of "I want out of here now". She got even with me later by attacking the flloor nozzle with her paws, scratching it badly. Hmmm. Animals.

My little dog

ChiChi that I had nearly 16 years loved anything loud..Vacuums, thunder and guns...My Dad was a avid gun collector and we were always shooting skeet or target practicing...She would run out in front of you and bark until you shot the gun,,,I had to vacuum her with the open hose end every time I cleaned house, She LOVED the feeling of the air I guess...If it stormed She would look out the window and wag her tail...My cat Bella is fine with a vacuum...as long as its OFF, but when you plug it in, She is GONE!!!

Most animals enjoy being vacuumed if you slowly acclimate them to it by starting with just a dusting brush, then the brush on the hose, then turning the vacuum cleaner on with it as far away as the hose will reach. Eventually most of them will come running for a grooming when they hear the vacuum cleaner running.

Love those photos with the pets being vacuumed. The kitty and doggy seem to be enjoying it. My pets would have never gone for that, my cat ran as soon as vacuum was started but dog I have now doesn't seem to mind it as long as it's not near her.

And the second photo has the Electrolux outside in the grass! Shock hazard! Do not use outdoors! lol

My dog Sheba

Isn't fond of vacuums, but, you can vacuum her. She likes the quiet machines better. Like my Air-Way or one of my 50s early 60s Kenmores. They are much quieter than the powermates that came later on. Luxs are very quiet machines as well. The Model G is one of the quietest, especially the Hopsital version. As for cats, none of our cats over the years have never stayed in a room with a vacuum when you plug it in.
