Carpet Shampooers

Hi guys,
I was wandering what your favorite Carpet shampooers were. I have the shampoo system for my Kirby Generation 6 2000 edition, it is ok but it dosent seem to dispense right after a few uses, it jus dribbles a small path of foam instead of the whole width of the cleaner. Anyone else have this problem?
I also have a Hoover Steam Vac Spin Scrub I got almost 2 years ago as a birthday gift to me. I love it and have used it more times than I can count. I especially love shampooing the carpet in my car. It does a great job and I wouldn't part with it. The only other shampooer I have used was a Rinse N Vac if anyone remembers theese. Grandma used to rent them at their dry cleaners until they quit making theese. I liked it's performance but it was too big and bulky. Does anyone know if it would be ok to use Kirby Dry foam shampoo in my Hoover steam vac?

NO NO!!!!!!!!!!
You can not use kirby shampoo in a hoover steam vac as it is to sudsy and will ruin your hoovers motor and bearings.

I have a Hoover Widepath with dual headlights and six spinning brushes, woo-woo! I love it! It has served me well over the last six years or so. I also use the hose attachment to do my cars. I remember a friend of mine years ago, who cleaned carpets for his uncle on the weekends told me that they could tell immediately when they started cleaning someone's carpet who used Kirby, Electrolux or the dry Host type cleaning process, they would have to add a defoamer when they extracted, there was so much left over soap in the carpet. His uncle was in the business as long as steam cleaning had become popular and said they ran into a lot of that left over from the old floor polisher/carpet shampooer days too. Even with a steam extractor, it's still a good idea to go back over it with clear water, I do and I think my carpet stays cleaner longer.

I like the Kirby shampoo system over the Hoover...

I had the first generation of Hoover Steam Vac and used it several years. It hung in there and took care of three puppies during potty training. However, as much as I liked the Hoover, I found it soaked the carpets and made them very wet - not something I like. When I would clean the carpets, I'd have to rope off the area for the better part of the day.

With the Kirby, it dries much much faster and it does take a little to get used to but overall it's a real joy. I've not had the experience of it dribbling out mine does put out a full amount. Perhaps it's somewhere in the hose or the housing that keeps the water and shampoo formula.

In the end, I like having one machine that does both vacuuming and shampooing too.

id rather have a rug doctor..there awsome machines with industrial power.
