Hi all, hope you all are well.

I have a question, I recently found and mentioned I found another Canadian telescoping wand in my "stuff" which was a surprise. Have only a slight idea where it came from.

My question is, the wand I received with my Elux-O-Matic, is a light greenish color to match the bumpers on the machine.

The wand I found, is blue, like the blue/turquoise G Electrolux.
Was there a Canadian Electrolux model that was in blue/turquoise?

Thanks.

The blue wand is from a 1968 - 1969 American Electrolux model 1205 or L. This is my original model L. The electric wand and electric hose were made in Canada for US machines.

Yes, that's the exact setup that came with one of my 1969 model 1205. The other 1205 I have was originally sold without a power nozzle and came with a non-electric hose and a pair of metal wands. I believe the first time it ever had an electrified hose or a power nozzle connected to it was when I did the honors in the summer of 2016.

Thanks,

for the information. As I think I have both machines, I will see that it is assigned to one or the other.

I found one more correct PN elbow for this application. I just need to put a PN1 together from all the parts I finally organized.

Be safe everyone!

I agree,

John. It does match the bumpers on the machine.

I would love to have an authentic hose for mine. I have a generic one on it now, that works, but still......

Thanks,

Someone had suggested to me that I paint it the same green I painted the recommissioned PN1. Cool to know the original was dark green.

Finding the other PN I see in pictures of the Elux-O-Matic, would be nice.
I will keep an eye on Ebay.

Wow

Dysonman that is a beautiful model L complete with a vary rare hose designed to go with that telescopic wand and everything is in like new condition! Must complement you on it. My Grandmother had the exact machine with that wand and hose and she had the cordwinder on hers. unfortunately it got traded in on an Olympia One I believe which my Mother still has and uses today. Such a shame it got traded in, it had tons of life in it, she only used it for her upstairs which was 3 rooms a hall and a bathroom so it was in very nice condition but the salesman wheedled my Aunt who lived with my Grandmother into the Olympia and she liked that the colors matched her house which had a lot of brown stained trim.

That model L was two years old when I got it. Our neighbor bought it new in '68. In 1970 her husband was transferred to California and they bought a home with central vac, so she asked my mother if she could give it to me. I've had it since 1970, I have the original box and paper work for it. I bought a cord winder for it decades ago, but keep the machine as she bought it. I've probably used it 6 or 7 times since 1970.
