It's actually black...looks to have been modified.

I have my suspicions as to what it belongs, but wanted to get some other opinions...

Whattya think?

A closer shot of the gold label

The quality may be a bit rugged here, as I used a sharpening mask to try to clarify the numbers a bit better, if that is of any help.

Got me flummoxed, although the red cone, silverish ring, black ring with double rivets and the aluminum end tube all look familiar - to 4 different machines. :-)

I'm baffled Dave.
I could look up those patents but I suddenly have vacuums to re-arrange...yeah, that's it...

My guess would be Royal or Electro Hygine, but then the cruved end looks like lux?????

I would say its for a Eureka Upright. The scan of page 8 of the Eureka model D272 upright manual shows the attach-o-matic adapter which appears to be the same as the one on the hose here. The original hose would have been the same dark red as the end cuff though.

OH man, I have been looking for ever for that hose, and/or
tools. I have had two Eureka D272, the past 25 years. The first
the armature was gone on it. The one I have now works beautifully. If you want to sell that wonderfull hose. Let
me know first Please !!!
