I just came across this on ebay (I know - not another one from ebay) and I thought it was unique enough that I should post it. Personally I'd love to have it but they dont ship and, even if they did, the shipping to Canada would be horrendous. They also dont show the inside of the table which contains the parts (or is surposed to) so it may go low. Hopefully to one of our English members and not to some antique dealer or the such.

On looking further I noticed he also has a link up. Apparently the guts have been stripped out of the table. He does have some very good pictures there though of a complete machine and, interestingly enough, it took a Bylock / Lewyt speed sack. Wonder what the connection was.

Any idea when they were made? I'm thinking late 50's early 60's as I'm pretty sure that thats when the President I have (made by Bylock)which has the same style hose, came out. Although I'm pretty certain that it doesnt have the right set of parts with it - see picture. I have found the proper grey sprayer since the picture was taken but nothing else.

One day I'd love to have one of those it's so very unique. At least I think they were unique, did any other company make such a thing?

Mike, was 25 gns a huge amount of money for the time, compared to say buying a run o the mill Hoover which would have cost roughly how much?

Here's a video of mine. I actually filmed it about 3 weeks ago, but it took this thread to get me to edit it all together and upload it!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the 1964 Bylock De Luxe 'Beautility' TableVac:

Hey Jack:

Nice video. Thats really quite the machine. I notice that by the time yours came out Bylock was using the same dusting brush that Ruton had been using in Holland since the early 50's, instead of their own brush.
