Be aware that this cleaner is in deplorable shape. I tried to assist the seller in what I thought was a restoration for his personal collection, only to find he was trying to sell this cleaner in non-working condition. The motor is non operational due to spraying wd40 into the commutator, the bellows are shredded-rendering the handisac fill tube useless. For an experienced collector, this shouldn't be a big deal. I personally wouldn't want a less experienced collector to buy this cleaner and be sorely disappointed. The buy it now price is ridiculous for a non working cleaner. Toolkit and carton are cute, but it doesn't make up for a vacuum you cannot use. This is a parts machine at best.

If costomers are so certian...

With them selves that these machines are so terribly valuable, then they should know better then to try something like that that could hinder that said "value". Which if he did admit that he ruined it, why is it still $80.00?

this guy needs to count his losses

If he paid $140 for this cleaner, then destroyed it, he ought to take whatever he can get for it as a parts donor. $80 (even $50) is entirely too much.

Perhaps this bothers me SO much as I spent a large amount of time corresponding with this gentleman trying to help him restore his cleaner. I offered him a NOS aftermarket bag for his 62, brush strips, a type c bellows and fill tube (all free of charge!), then he drops the "I've lost money on this cleaner, and need to get my money back." I was done with him after that!

You can imagine my disgust when I saw this on eBay. I am not trying to be catty, I just did not want a fellow collector to get ripped off.

Oh I most certainly agree! Those pics you showed me proved that cleaner was completely roached. It really is terrible when people take advantage of very kind an generous person for profit. It's BS like that that takes the fun out of collecting 😒
