So I have a 2003 dirt devil featherlite bagless in a dark green color and it's a much better vacuum than the dirt devils from today. However it's needing a new brush roll because the original one is noisy so I was wondering if anyone has a spare replacement one I can buy. Thank you.

Noisy brushroll means bad bearings or dry bearings. Re-grease and replace bearings if need be. Check bristle length, if excessively worn.

I'd try what Husky said first. These brushrolls are sadly very hard to find, and are a slightly different length than the featherlite bagged. I don't remember if it is longer or shorter.

I have the same vacuum mine is from 2002, the brushroll on mine is worn down to nubs. I would keep an eye on eBay and the online vacuum parts suppliers. If I ever get ahold of a few I will let you know, for what these vacuums are they are actually pretty decent and clean well. Obviously far better than todays dirt devils.

Vacklean, great news, I just now came across the specific brushroll I wanted to get! It's on eBay now and there were only two but I just brought one now! 🎆🥳 Here's the linkhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/226068273973?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=7M4q5vHbT_S&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=4oeUT8JeTVW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY for you so you can get one too.

Has anyone ever tried to re-bristle nylon/synthetic brushrolls? I wonder if it would be the same process as antique horsehair ones?

Just got the new brushroll today and it's performance is so much better. Runs very smooth without any rattling noise.
