is there any particular reason why the wheels are scratched and it has a non-genuine replacement filter? Kind of odd for a never used cleaner.

Don't really know why the wheels are scratch but when I got it bottom of the box was open so it must have been outbox a bit and been scratched up . I can promise you that the filtered the genuine Hoover Hoover use this in some other models
