Brand New Customized 2018 Fairfax Canister unboxing

     I choose "fairfaxclass" as my name because it is one of my favorite machines.  It is also the only one I bought new from the manufacturer.   I did buy my Avalir new in box, but it was from a guy who got them from a defunct dealer.  Anyhoo, earlier in 2018 I got my Fairfax "A Touch of Class" SCPD7 and made a video unboxing it.  I still need to run my full performance reviews.  No, I did not pay the price listed at the website.

Great that these machines are still surviving!!!Retro is REALLY WHAT WORKS!!!!and does well.This vacuum should last a VERY long time compared to the others out there.Since this vacuum has a 3 pin grounded cord-it would be legal under OSHA regs to use commercially-and also with the full bypass motor.How long is the cord?How did you get the Wessel nozzle and the upgraded motor?

     About the three prong cord, Fairfax sells an optional 5 gallon bottom and extra large bags just for that!  The cord is 50 feet.  He said he could shorten it if I wanted.


 


     As for the upgrades, I spoke with the owner over email for a bit, asking about this and that.  He special ordered the better motor and carries the EBK 360 as an upgrade.  The owner, George, is very friendly.  She cleans like a dream!  I recommend using Silverking hepa disks instead of the cellulose disks if you can find them.

I looked at the prices on their website-the Fairfax is offered with or without the shampoo attachment.$2300,2500 is too much for me.At least with a DTD salesman you can dicker with prices.It doesn't look like you can dicker on the website-you take it or leave it.For now--will leave it.For the prices shown I can get TWO Kirbys or TWO outfitted NSS M1's!The Fairfax is a nice vacuum-but the prices are just too high.Not competive with other premium vacuums.

Don't pay attention to the prices. You want to communicate with the owner. I didn't pay that price.

Lovely.

It's a very nice looking machine! I like that hose, pistol grips are a rarity on electric hoses these days.

     A simple pistol grip is a lot better in my hands than a lot of the "fancy" grips in my book.
