I bought this Brand New unopened Hoover Blender from ebay for $130. It is so awesome. It is from the 1960s and works so well. These are very rare to find brand new unopened from the box. Hoover is one of the rarest blender brands. I waited 3 years to buy a Hoover Blender brand new, and I finally got it. They do say those who wait will get what they want. I got what I wanted.

i found a hoover blender at a thrift store for $9.99. the bearings blender jar are a little dry, but when oiled runs just fine. its the cream color version of yours

I too have the cream colored version as pictured on the manual. I'm old and bought it new way back in the early days of electricity

Hahaha

Too funny... I have to call my relatives to make sure they still have all their older things still in the basement for when I visit.

Love the avocado green. I would guess that to be in the '63-'65 era as coppertone and harvest gold were more prevalent in the latter part of the decade.

Great find--enjoy!

I wonder if Hoover made blenders in the 50s. I've seen some that don't have a solid state logo, and that look a lot older.

non vacuum Hoovers

Others will know more but the first non vac product was the iron in late 40s.Then the small washer in 50s.Then about 1970 blenders & toasters & coffee pots & shoe polishers & fry pans & air filters & fans & electric knives & hair dryers & ???.
Nice blender above.I have good used Hoover blenders and fry pans that will be on EBay as time allows.

I believe these were made by Knapp-Monarch under the Hoover name. It would make sense that they showed up around 1970 as Hoover bought Knapp Monarch in 1969.

Since finding this site

a few years ago, it amazes me that something made 50 years ago is still brand new and unopened. I wonder what the story is behind that blender?

I am thinking it was an estate sale find. The ebay user went to an estate sale and bought this blender for $10 and then sold it for $150. I made an offer for $130 and he took it. You can find some NOS items at an estate sale. I am wanting a NOS vacuum cleaner from the 70s or 60s, but I know it will be probably about in the high hundreds, since NOS vacuum cleaners are the rarest items you will ever find.

you think NOS vacuums are rare? try finding a classic car 30+ years old in drivable condition with good interior/paint with less than 10 miles on it. you WILL pay a very LARGE fortune for that, even with my specialty classic car interest, ford country squire and mercury colony park station wagons post 1974 -1987

Hoover solid state

Hi, does anyone know how I can get a replacement gasket for my Hoover Solid State blender? It's fabulous and it was my great uncle's - I'm 52 and he died 25 years ago! It started leaking.

Any help would be so appreciated!!
Best,
Maggie
