First off let me apologize for not knowing the proper terms for parts. I don't know a lot about vacuums/carpet sweepers, but I am relatively handy and have an appreciation for things that were made to last.
I recently found an old Bissell Gemini that I would love to be able to use again. It was always one of my favorite vacuums/sweepers, along with my mom's old Kirby. Unfortunately one of the rollers isn't spinning easily like it should. It appears to have some of the black sweeper fibers caught where the axle passes through the square blocks on the end that hold the roller in place in the chassis. It still turns, but it requires a decent amount of torque. Far more than the sweeper's rubber wheels can provide.
I can't seem to pull the fibers out with tweezers/pliers, I can't figure out how to dissemble the rollers, and I don't want to be too enthusiastic in my attempts and break something permanently. I've not had any luck searching online for a manual or disassembly guide, or anything much about this particular sweeper really apart from some really old newspaper ads. I did find a post on these forums with people who really liked this model though.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I need to get around to fixing this sweeper, or I'm not going to be allowed to keep it in the house much longer. And that's a shame, because the other side of this sweeper still works like a charm. (And still makes a great sound!)
