Yes. It is surprising how good there vacuum designs are. This is nothing to snuff at.


When I was in Japan, in a superstore they had there cant remember what it was called, they had mainly bagless cylinders vacuums made by companies like Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Pananasonic, Sharp and even Mitsubishi along with a few you don't get over here. They came in an all manor of colours like greens, reds and oranges. They are beautifully styled and beautifully made and detailed, usually all made in Japan. In fact, a lot of stores have sections of products, like isles, specifically for Japanese manufactured goods, and Japanese companies like Toshiba and Seiko, have "J" models, meaning Japanese made.


By nature, these are people who do not put up with cheap tat and like products that work, and the flooring they have out there is mainly hard, as well as those tatami matts which are difficult to clean and need a good agitation. They do have carpets, but mainly just large area rugs.


Why on earth these companies can't start importing these cleaners to Europe and North America is beyond me became they would go down a storm.
