To be fair though, if you look at the other auctions the prices are damn good.
$45 for a G-Series Kirby motor? That's good considering I've paid up to $90 for one.
$25 for a Legend II power nozzle with a brush roll is a really good deal too.

That ebay listing belongs to the above poster! For someone that doesn't have one or has one in poor condition, may very well pay that much. I know I've probably paid too much on ebay before, but if something's in nice shape, and I want it bad enough, I'll get it. Sometimes I've even contacted the seller (not the one above btw), and asked if they'd take a slightly lesser price, and most of the time I've lucked out. In all fairness to Richard, someone I've purchased items from before, after perusing his current listings, I think he's a pretty fair seller. His items are just a nice as they look in the pics. Just sayin....

I have been selling parts for more than ten years on eBay and I have always done my best to sell used parts for about 50% off the retail price of new. Things that are not manufactured anymore? Well, we look at what other people are pricing them at, and price ours accordingly. It's called the free market, supply and demand.
We do entertain offers, it's just not necessarily stated on the listing. Electrolux137 has purchased from us before, and was apparently happy. Perhaps he had a bad day?

I didn't know who "kirbykid63" was, so I hope my remark wasn't taken personally. I have bought from Richard in the past and was always happy with both the items and the pricing.
That being said, I do still consider the asking price for the shampoo tank to be high. If it was new and in the original packaging, that would be different. But that's just my opinion; if someone comes along and pays that amount for it then all we can say is that our opinions differ.
