David I wish the cleaner were still here, I delivered it over to my parents tonight, they will take it back to Aunt Ruth when the go to visit her...she lives in Princeton Illinois, about 125 miles from me here in Roselle.
My point is you'll notice from the pictures I did post that there are no vents in the top of the hood, a characteristic of the blender motor machines. Instead the vents are further down at the back of the hood, kind of inbetween where the switch and the cord enter the hood, on either side of the handle.
It fooled me at first, until I heard the cleaner run!
