This past month, I found more rare Hoover’s on various Facebook pages than I have ever seen in my entire life.
First off, the Hoover Elite 80th Anniversary Edition. I believe there are only maybe two others known outside of this one I found? Tom and Fred have one. Does anyone else? So curious, as this models seems hard as heck to find. I had to wet sand the hood on this one, but it came out just beautifully. It sounds terrific, despite the old needle bearing motor (ala Hoover Concept series)
Second, I found the Hoover Innovation Soft Bag. This was a Facebook find, and was put out of commission just days before I picked it up. It was stuff FULL with an exploded bag. All the dust was in the external soft bag. Yuck! This one (like everything else) got a full tear down and bath! She is stunning though, and like brand new. Handle release and all!
Third, also a Facebook find Hoover Innovation hard case with on board tools. Probably one of the harder innovation machines to find. Very cool, and I had help tracking down a few necessary parts for it (thank you Jared!) it also looks and performs like brand new. What a cool machine.
Finally, the Hoover Electronic 1000 Canister. Holy 1980s! This thing was the most advanced vacuum at the time of release and boy it shows. I believe this is one of the only known examples of this cleaner featuring the original hose. There is another I know of with a replacement hose. Such a powerful vacuum. The water lift must be crazy!
