Yesterday after getting off my mid shift(Sat) on the way home cruised yard sales-went by one and found---WHAT-a vacuum handle sticking up-so I stopped to investigate and found a really nice Filter Queen Majestic Limited Edition vacuum-all for $50.Snapped it right up-and he loaded it into my car-as the seller was loading the machine in my car-he said his wife fell victim to the RAINBOW salesman-and liked it better.The FQ was clogged-lets see cleaned up after the Christmas tree-some tinsel and pine needles.Unclogged it-and they tried to run it WITHOUT a cone-and they had a pack of them!I replaced the motor filter and unclogged the machine--and it works fine.Another yard sale that morning-diffrent house netted a nice little Dirt Devil hand vac with the paper bag adaptor.It too works great-only 2 bucks.Maybe there hope for yard sales-most of the others---Baby junk.

Congratulations on a successful yard sale trip! I have to stay away from them, I find enough in the thrift stores. My last vacuum find was a Filter Queen.

Would love to show pictures of my yard sale find-but don't have a camera.Sadly most of the thrift stores have closed here.Just only a couple of appliance "Swap shops" where I go to look for interesting washers-but older ones are hard to find here---no basements.
