Sorry picture isn't the greatest, shot from the cellphone...since someone forgot to charge the batteries in the camera.

The Aptitude has been on my list of "wants" for awhile, I just love the look of them (I even have a pile of new bags and belts stashed away for this model I found at a tag sale), it's the second one I've found, the first one thought sadly looked like it was thrown down a flight of stairs and the motor was really loud. This one I almost passed up, just caught a glimpse of a handle poking out of a black trash bag, quickly threw it in back of the truck hoping it was what I though it was from the color of the handle. The motor is quiet and sounds like it has a lot of life in it, and it appears to be in pretty nice shape overall.

Dirt Devil sounds and looks pretty good too.

Don't know if anyone knew this, but ...

... the Electrolux Aptitude was sold in the UK as the Electrolux PowerSystem Z1720. The only differences were that the Aptitude had a headlight, manual carpet height adjustment, and no full bag indicator whereas the PowerSystem had automatic height adjustment (called a "flexihead" by Electrolux UK), a full bag indicator (below the power switch), and no headlight. Apart from these differences and the different colour schemes, the machines were identical. I've attached a picture of my Z1720 as proof.
