Hi Guys:

Anyone need an old Electrolux rug nozzle for the cost of shipping? Yesterday I was given a box full and I certainly dont need 20 of them.

Very cool! Those are the first version of the 1937 Model 30's rug nozzle. Wouldn't you love to have all the machines that they came with?!

Nice haul, Doug.

I wouldn't mind a pair of those to dress up a few 30's. Just let me know the postage and I'll figure a way to pay you. You have a Paypal account email addy?

Dave

Nice haul Doug. I was wondering the same thing with the lights. I can hear the beat of the music myself.

Ah yes, the stair tread lights.....

there was this bar on Castro in the 70's, see? And....well, never mind! Doug - how did you end up inheriting all these at once? Is there a story here?

Hey Guys:

The stair lights were my own idea - LOL when you have a party they can be set as chasers. If the person is to drunk to navigate the "moving" stairs he isnt going home.

Dave:Drop me an email with your address and I'll find the postage costs for you (By the way - do you still need a floor nozzle for your Japanese made Viking? I have an extra).

As for the story. A guy that has a vacuum shop in Estevan (about 3 hours drive from me) wanted to get rid of a bunch of stuff so he asked if I would like it (Basically come get it or I'm throwing it out). I drove down wednesday and came back with a car full (mostly old electroluxes). Now I have to sort out everything and get rid of the extras as I dont have room to keep it all.

Hey, did you get any Electrolux turbo polisher attachments? Not that I need anymore, but the Canadian and European versions were different than the American ones.

Hey Bob - email me - I think I have something for you

Hey Charlie - sorry but the turbo polishers were rarely seen around here. The only ones I have came from the US

Here are a couple of pix. The first is of the American version, then the Canadian one which was called the "Junior Polisher."

From a Canadian instruction manual--

And now I have to say, I realize I've had a senior moment ... the Canadian version WAS the same as the U.S. -- apparently the version with the (Masonic-inspired) sunburst logo was made only in Europe. Oops! *blush*

What was my name again, sonny?

LOL - no prob

It appears they just didnt sell alot of those accessories around here. Probably more in Ontario as it was a much bigger market.

You learn something every day

I was having a look through some old manuals and it appears that we might have had two versions.

The first, from the Lux 62 (1957-1961) manual looks very like the US/Canadian version - what you can see of it
