Anyone heard of Belvedere vacuums?

Hello everyone. The other day I found this Belvedere XCP vacuum on ebay that looks just like a Riccar 8955 for a starting bid of only $5.00. So i thought what the heck and bid on it and won. I was the only bidder! SO I was wondering does anyone have any info on this line of vacuums such as where they would have been sold? Are/were they made by Tacony? When they were made? Any info would be appreciated as I cant find anything on google or yahoo.

Maybe it is the name of a vacuum store? (similar to a Stark's Royal)

They were made by Tacony...

The name has been gone form the marketplace of new vacuums for awhile now.

The bottom looks a lot like the first Kenmore Whispertone uprights, especially the headlight. I love the chrome against the red....

Back in the day when they were they Riccar Commercial machines they were Panasonic sourced. I am not sure if Taconey still makes the Belvidere, but the one we had a work was a good machine.
