Hello. This may sound like a plea but I am looking forward to getting my Vortex up and running again.
I bought a white Vortex off Gumtree a few months ago, in quite a sorry state. The whole top part of the cyclone was clogged -as they do- and I assume it had been used whilst being badly clogged for a while. From using it, it worked fine for a month or so but I ever so slightly noticed a slight electrical smell from the motor at the end of a ten minute use. This slowly progressed, and a few weeks ago it smelt straight from the off, and I have not used it since.
From this, I am assuming it has been the dust getting into the motor that has caused this. So, I am after a new motor. I was wondering if someone on here either has or knows of existence of a spare motor somewhere, as I am looking forward to get it up and running again. I hope to get it going soon, as I don't want to use my nearly mint V2001, which is why I bought the white one in the first place, so I could still get my Vortex kicks.
So, if anyone has a spare motor for sale, please could you let me know, otherwise its a long wait for another Vortex on eBay/Gumtree.
