I saw this one at LNT for 249 bucks, I can use a 20% off coupon and a $30 rebate, so in the end I'll get a $299 vac for roughly $181. Does anyone know if its any good? Really, I want to know if its filtration system works as well as Dyson, since this one is almost a direct copy. I'm not a huge fan of bagless, but I do realize that Dyson has the best filtration. Any insights would be appreciated.

crap!

junk is a term of endearment that is a $50 vacuum in my eye just another toss away vacuum

Um, thanks--but I want to know from someone who has compared it to the Dyson's filtration. But thanks for your opinions, just out of curiousity, have either of you used the machine? It appears VERY well built and is quiet, with a cogged belt and a two-motor system.

Filtrete Bags and Filtration...

The 3M Filtrete Bags are great! I use them with my Kirby Legend and G6 as well as a Hoover Convertable, U4519 and the filtration as well as the air flow is amazing. There is NEVER a musty ordor and there seems to be consistent suction as the bag fills. And you don't have to empty the bin; just throw away the bag.

I have no scientific data on this; but my hunch is that the Filtrete Bags would at least stand up to the Dyson or Bissell for filtration. Just a hunch.

For my money, using a bag and not having to empty the bin and have that dust blow back in your face is worth more than even a great advantage in flitration. But that's me.

STAY AWAY FROM BISSEL VACUUMS-Bagged,baggless or otherwise-they are DUMPSTER VACUUMS-see so many of these in the vac Hospital waiting for repairs.and the New Bern Kirby dealer gets so many for trade ins-he's throwing them out.
