i remember having one of these when i was growing up back in the 60s it got well used and as i recall it worked very well i remember my mum using it for the first time on the hall carpet and distinctly remember seeing a clean strip where this rhing had been considering all that elaborate paraphenalia you have to strap onto a Kirby to do the same thing this thing is much better dont get me wrong i love Kirbys but the carpet cleaner is a complete waste of time
