Well, I did it again. Put in a bid on another Royalaire for the opening amount and won it, just shy of 2 weeks after winning the last one the same way. Again, there were no other bidders. This one is a model 186 and is not as complete, or as nice as the other one, but it is possibly about 20 years older and may be one of the last pre-war models. Here's the pic from the ebay posting. Will take some of my own after it arrives.
In the meantime, I did get the polishing done on the other one earlier this week and took pictures, but when I got them back there was a line about an inch from the bottom of every pic on the roll that was not on the film or in the index pics, so I have to have them redone.

I did see and was watching this one which I wouldn't bid on because of our damn border, as I find it both entertaining and instructive what certain vacuums will 'go for'. So pleased it went to one of us. I know the high grade of Magic you will conjure upon it.

Thank You Dave!

But I think this one's gonna take a bit more magic than the other Royalaire did. Too bad my "after" pictures of that one are going to have to be reprinted, I had intended to post them tonight. Oh well, I should be getting them in another day or so.
I know what you mean about ebay. Sometimes items that you don't think will sell go high, others that you think might go high don't even get a bid. My Lux XXX, Lux G, Royal 153, and Lewyt 40 are a few more examples where I was the sole bidder.
