The first Lenovo T61 I had kicked the bucket. The Nvidia Quatro graphics chip died in it, and instead of buying another motherboard for it. I decided to scrap it and I took to Ebay and found this lovely example of one for $25 with free shipping, but this one has two differences from the 14.1" model I had. This one is 15" model and it has a Intel graphics chip instead of the Nvidia Quatro chip that plagued the T61 and T61p models. This example is mint as can be and all it needed was a new palmrest and a new HDD. I run Linux Mint 17.3 and Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 (Windows XP SP3 that is supported until 2019)in a dual-boot configuration. The battery is in superb condition and I also have a spare battery for it. I also have the Advanced Mini Dock for this model as well.

I have never owned one of the Thinkpad series, but they would definitely be high on my list of preferred choices when I am next shopping for a laptop.

The price is a bargain too!

Thinkpads are great!

I still use my IBM ThinkPad T23 with Windows 98SE, Pentium iii, and 512 MB ram from time to time.

Long live Windows 98 and Kernelex!

That's awesome! Great machines. Absolutely bulletproof. I have several think pads by Lenovo and some older IBMs. Great hardware.

Kind of funny I just got a new in box from 06 IBM server rack mount keyboard and monitor which uses think pad parts. Going to be put into great use.

Kind of spoiled at work for PCs. Have a dell optiplex 7020 Intel core i7 and my laptop is a dell precision 17 7710. Has a Intel xenon e3-1505m processor 32 gb ram and a 1t ssd. I feel it's a little overkill for what I do but I can't complain too much.
