finds. I drove up to Kansas City this weekend to visit my good friend Chad Cunningham. We did our usual trash dig and estate sales this weekend. Chad also had some finds waiting for me from another collector in the area. The Shetland upright and the Sunbeam canister came from Chad's recent trip to Wisconsin. Luckily, I was able to fit everything in my truck. Another mass hoard/haul for me.

Sweet mother load!

Jackpot!!!!! Electrolux Model G Hoover Upright , Kenmore MagicCord and Hoover Futura also some nice Kirby niiice also some modern vac and a shopvac nice which one di du take home ???

Well, that ought to keep the acquisition bug at bay for at least a little while. That is a cool typewriter. The Goodwill near me has one similar to that but they want too much for it--or at least more than I'm willing to pay--and I have no place to put it, anyway.

Especially for a single weekend, that is quite the arsenal of nice machines. I'm lucky if I find one really good one on a thrifting trip. That typewriter is also interesting. I just so happen to have one about just like it.

Kenny nice haul! Im so sorry I could not make it after all. You can't imagine how pissed I was about being informed that I WAS going to work late because someone else went home sick. It didn't seem to matter that I had plans and was leaving work early. By the time I got off it would have been midnight before I would have met up with you guys.
Anyhow we sure have had some great KC hauls over the years haven't we lol

Phillip I was hoping you could make it! I'm still a little overwhelmed by the stuff I pulled out. Free is Free!

I pulled out the typewriter because I have one just like it. When my mom's dad passed my step grandmother gave me their typewriter they used in their real estate appraising businesses. I thought if nothing else it would sell on eBay. Or I may just kept it for parts I haven't decided yet.

My main goal of the trash dig was to find another shampooer. I do like the Bissell it just doesn't seem to have as much suction as the Hoover. On Sunday, Chad and I went to a estate sale and I was able to find parts to fix the Bissell that I had pulled out of the trash.

WOW is all I can say!

Kenny,
What you pictured in Chads driveway was bigger than my whole collection for many years. From the 1950's to almost present day (I'm guessing as you know I'm not 'current' on current machines). Canisters, tanks, sticks, uprights, and floor/carpet washers. It was kind of Chad to find some of those for you, I've been the recipient of his generosity in the past.

I'm looking forward to being invited to your next mini meet and getting the chance to play with some of them.
Thanks for sharing,
Sean
