Another Handheld Cadillac... with box?

Do you suppose the carrying case is legit? Or just some random box the owner used?

It's a model 43, my straight suction Cadillac is 41, but this looks older in that it has a wooden handle, and more of those stupid driverless screws.

Box

Hmmmmm.... the box color seems to match the color of the "Cadillac" on the bag...
and it does fit nicely in there...the construction of the box seems to be from
that time period..

I'm guessing it is the original box
But, only a guess

I wouldn't have any doubts to it not being the original. The cleaner looks to be lightly used, and the box pattern matches that of the upright Cadillac bags. It does have some light mold damage but it can all be cleaned up with a damp soapy cloth.

The rust on the vacuum's handle mounts compared with the rust on the box latches both look even and of matching levels of rusting, so that box has always been with the vacuum wherever it's been.

Original or not it is a great little box and it goes good with the vacuum. Sadly that price is more than my budget.

Yeah, price is too much. I kinda like it. We shall see what happens.

Shame the box has no Cadillac logo on it.

I don't think many products back then put the logo on the storage box, even if they did, they put it on the inside. I think it was seen as some sort of faux-pas to do such a thing.

Cadillac vacuums are fairly rare so not too much info out there.
