Congrats Anthony,
I to love 65's; I have four, one of which is the early type complete in its carton and turbo polisher and has never been used, although I have run it and its sooo smooth!
I remember the second version, like yours, being demonstrated at an ideal home exhibition around 1963-5,I would have been about six at the time. The junior model being the 64 (later type with plastic ext tube, hose handle and crevice nozzle)
I even remember attempting to show my Grandmothers daily how to use the dual action upholstery/dusting tool on the stairs, I think she just regarded me as a nuisance!!
That hose looks like a late 1960's/early 70's replacement: quite good as I recall.
The 65 was in my opinion the most striking in appearance of all the luxes of the Companies period 1955-75.
If you are careful enough you can glue a large white synthetic replacement filter pad over the plastic frame; inner side... and you have a fresh filter again?
Regards, Walter
