Allergo Advanced Electric Power Head (ZAS110)

I first saw this power nozzle by way of a YouTube demo video. The person presenting it said it was a Hoover exclusive that was never released. What makes it interesting is that it has height adjustment and its own dirt sensor. The price runs mid-range at about 200 bucks. Unfortunately I can't turn up any images of the brushroll.

As I've seen it recently turn up on the market under the Allegro brand, I'm interested in knowing who its maker is. Is it actually an Allegro Central Vac exclusive or outsourced through a bigger vac tool supplier like CenTec or Wessel Werk? However, I'm pretty sure it originates from neither of those two companies.

That is also the power nozzle that is used on Oreck's Quest Pro canister.

That is the power nozzle on the Oreck Quest Pro, and while it's an ok nozzle, it has a flat belt, which I was disappointed to see. Ours is connected definitely to what I believe is a TTI made canister similar to the Hoover Anniversary canister, made in China. One annoying thing to me is if you vacuum too fast, the rear raises up off the floor. It is quiet, seems to clean well. We have sold many of the Quest Pros in my store, and so far, no complaints. It replaced the Dutchtech, which in my opinion was a much better canister with a Wessel Werk power nozzle. However the price points differ greatly, and I think that's why Oreck chose a Chinese vac over the Dutchtechs, which were kinda pricey. My Oreck manager offered to buy me one for Christmas in lieu of his usual bonus, but I kindly thanked him for the offer but I really didn't want one. and my bonus this year was twice what our cost is on the vacuum. I have a Dutchtech 1400 top of the line, and it's my favorite canister in my collection that was produced in the last decade. Sorry to ramble...but if you're looking to buy a power nozzle, I'd pick a Wessel Werk over the Allegro. Just my two cents...

Thanks vac-o-matic. Oreck's Dutch-Tech was originally a European machine branded by Philips. Philips makes everything so I've always been curious as to how Oreck got it. Consumer Reports rated Oreck's Dutch-Tech here and it got petty nice scores.

My interest in the Allegro nozzle is more about figuring out where it comes from. It can't be an exclusive to Allegro if Oreck's got it but I don't identify its maker as CenTec, which puts out many PNs, and it is obviously not Wessel Werk.

By the way, as well as a dirt sensor, the Allegro claims a cogged belt now and five height settings.

Wow, thanks! The video link you included leads to the starting point of the question. I saw it a little while ago but was under the impression no others were available and thought just this one guy had a prototype. I didn't think about the nozzle again until I saw it turn up under the Allegro brand.
