but aside from suction/waterlift/airflow, I feel like weight is also important. I remember back in the late 80s/90s, we had a bissel big green cleaner (like a large version of a portable deep cleaner. The difference when you're using this vs an upright (at least to me) is that you can sort of push the head of the cleaner into the carpet to extract more water. With uprights, you can't do that and if you have super low pile carpet like me, the upright cleaners only work for me if I TAPE a hand weight to the top of it so it meets the carpet more. I tested this and it extracts so much more water but it's such a pain. I wish Henry Wash was available in the US.
