Hi--
I've got a friend driving into town for a few weeks. She's bringing her Mom's old Air Way Sanitizor Mark V with her because she knows that I'm a vacuum nerd.
I'm really excited about it because I've never seen an Air Way "in the flesh." I've heard great and legendary things about these vacuums, so I'm looking forward to looking at/using it.
My question: My friend would like for me to go through the Air Way, clean it, and restore it as best as I can. My problem is that I have zero experience with these vacuums and I'm afraid of experimenting with it and fouling things up.
So...can anyone give me instructions, step-by-step tips, or a reference on how to bring this Air Way up to snuff. From what I understand, the vacuum is in pretty good condition and, from the outside, looks pretty good. Who knows what's inside? Better yet, who knows how to get inside? I don't and I'm afraid of damaging the vacuum in the process of figuring it out...
Also...any idea on where I could locate a copy of the manual?
I would appreciate any suggestions. Feel free to email me off list, as I am eager to have as much communication as possible.
Thanks--
