Hello all,

Is the Hoover part number 43267002 the correct agitator bearing for my U4363-045? It looks correct in web images but my specific model isn't listed, just commercial uprights. The sheer number of models these fit gives me the impression that Hoover used (uses) them in everything, but I want to be sure. Thanks.

It likely is the bearing you need, but you may want to contact the company and have it confirmed for you just to cover yourself. The associate will likely want to know what type of brush roll it is (eg. Disturbulator, VGI, VG II) as it may not be original to your 4363-045. In addition, you may be asked for your bearing's inner diameter, outer diameter and width. Best.

Sorry - I've got Eureka on my mind regarding the brush rollss, but you get the idea of what type of info may be needed.

Yea

That's the bearing. You'll be amazed at how much of a difference it makes in noise once they're replaced. Also, calling Hoover would do you no good as the company who calls themselves "Hoover" will not claim the existence of that machine since they didn't make it under TTI's ownership.

Repairman, amazed is the right word

The original bearings were loose and felt rough, so I didn't try to do anything with them. The new bearings greatly reduced the noise level. Gone is the familiar "rough around the edges" growl I was hearing. I have always liked the sound of old Hoover uprights, and factory quiet is even better. Thanks to everyone who replied.

Yes, that's it!

Hoover used that bearing in just about every brush roll of uprights and canisters from 1970s to mid 2000s. The true Hoover brush rolls had those bearings. Once TTI took over then brush rolls started getting made by CWP and it all changed and many parts went away.

Don't get confused by early versions of that bearing which used a white colored plastic top, the fit is the same. You can remove the plastic top, clean and then repack with grease. The best method of course is to use a Hoover grease gun if you have access or know a Vac Shop that has one.
