A question about the Hoover Convertible 1010

So I just acquired a Hoover Convertible 1010 from an estate sale in beautiful shape. The seller told me his parents got it as a wedding present in 1968. Only thing it's missing is the pedal pads. Other 1010's I've looked up on the internet seem to be missing them as well. Because it was the BOL machine at the time did it not come with them? Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, it is correct that the 1010 does not have pedal pads.

Thanks for the info. I also have a 1030 that does, so I wasn't sure.

Yup.....

I have what is AFAIK the only 1010 to have made it over the pond.....
The pedals are indeed painted metal.....
