2 large apples pared cored and sliced into 8 equal wedges.
1 1/2 cups sifted flour.

1/2 cup crisco
4 to 5 tbsp cold water
1/3 cup melted butter..."I used 1/2 cup"
1/2 cup sugar
1 to 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon.3/4 cup water
Prepare apples, I put them in lemon water so they would stay white, make pastry out of flour,salt,crisco and water, Roll into a 16 x 10 rectangle, cut into 16 1 inch strips, wrap each strip around a apple wedge, lay in rows in a 9x 13 baking dish that has been brushed with butter,brush pastries with the butter, mix sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle heavily on the pastries, pour 3/4 cup of water around pastries, bake at 425 for 30 minutes,,,Really good and pretty too.
