Today's arrival and restore. I still need to sort the handle spring so disconnected it for now. Original cord and plug are saved, but removed from the machine so it can be used and the cord won't fray further.

That machine was built right after Frantz sold out to GE. He went on to launch Apex and was the first President of the Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturer's Association.

Les - It is almost the same as a Frantz. The height adjuster is a bit updated and the bag connector is the same as the GE uprights made in the 30s, but thats about it. Interestingly the little metal roller that originally had rubber on it, spins from the suction when the vac is running.

I have a new buffing wheel in the mail. Hopefully I can get it closer to a mirror shine that way, my old wheel is pretty worn out.
