A fellow vacuum collector needs our help...

Hey guys - one of my dear friends and big time vacuum cleaner collector and restorer Ben Clayton (he posts here as lilkidtech) needs a little help right now. He was in a very bad car accident (his head went through the windshield) earlier this year which has caused a great amount of financial strain, leading up to being locked out of his home by the landlord on Friday with no place to go. Whether you are able to make a donation, offer assistance in any other way, or simply keep them in your thoughts, anything is greatly appreciated.

PS - someone suggested I re-post this in Household since it slipped my mind that not everyone could read the Miscellanea section.

Thank you to everyone who has made a donation so far, it is appreciated far more than can be expressed in words. Unfortunately the opportunity to catch up on back rent has passed, and they are now in search of a new place to rent. They have both been in search of temporary sources of income while staying in a motel room, but with limited funds and walking radius, nothing has yet come to fruition. Your continued thoughts, support, and prayers (if you are so inclined) are graciously accepted.

Thanks for helping with the above.I have known Ben for years and have helped as I can directly.Ben was able to call me today and ASKS THAT YOU CALL ME at 423-268-4841 for updates as phones are now turned off.While they cannot live at their former home there will be a brief time that the landlord must allow access to remove their belongings if done before a fast approaching deadline.There is an urgent need for a truck,storage,etc.As above in addition to normal household furnishings there are 600 plus vacs including early uprights and Hoovers,Kirby 505 and newer,50s canisters,modern Sears,Miele,Dyson,parts & more & more & MORE.
