A-1 Vacuum in Crest Hill is coming to an end after almost 40 years of service since the owner and his wife are retiring. They have the be out of the building by April 30th.

Many parts and units are being thrown in the dumpster as I'm writing this. Paul has lots older parts for brands such as Hoover, Rexair, Eureka, Royal, and many more.

There is also an attic with 30-40 various D series Rainbow canisters. Mostly chrome domes and D3 units along with some D4 canisters. Pre G-Series Kirby vacuums such as Heritage, Classic Omega, Classic III, and more. There's also a bunch of Hoover units there as well.

There are also some gems in his front window like an Electrolux XXX.

Well, I phoned today

The greeting was missed. I heard, "hello"? I asked if this was a1 vacuums. He replied, "that's how I answered the phone". I told him I collected hoover. Do you have any hoover machines or parts? He replied, .ost was tossed.... sorry, can't really help.

Didn't realize that was you who called. I was there that day and he didn't get a response when he greeted you with, "A1 Vacuum, this is Paul". That's why he said what he said. I also didn't realize how much was already gone since the last time I made this post. I can assure you that Paul is a good guy and would have gladly sent you parts had they not gone to the dumpster.

You have no idea what I have.I know because I have very little idea of what I have!!As I group brand and models together I will picture and explain which are next for dumpster.I have many outer bags as well as Hoover boxes for at least Mo 33 & 707,Cleaning Tool boxes from 30s,Constellation,Slimline,Portapower and more.Some I will match with the same or exact Hoover model to keep or offer later at a higher price(higher than $0-5 but less than 'EBay price').

Ken Karts going for scrap at A-1 vacuum.

IT SADDENS ME THAT THESE VACS WERE DESTROYED WHEN I COULD HAVE TAKEN 3 OF THEM TO BE PARTS OUT BEFORE THEY WERE SCRAPPED. THERE WERE 2 116.7361'S. I HAVE A GOOD 7361 PLUS THE SAME THING THAT i WILL USE FOR PARTS SOON. THERE WAS ALSO IN THAT GROUP A MODEL 1164506 WHICH IS EXTREMLY RARE.
