Wow, indeed!
That's quite impressive!
I have one cheap little Sears "all in one" type of system that I received as a gift from my parents, back in the 1980s.
A family member helped themselves to it while I had it stored at my parents' house. And, whatever they did to it, only the radio works now, and they lost the original speakers. I found a pair of similar vintage Soundesign speakers on Craigslist, but they don't look anything like the originals.
I won't part with it, for sentimental reasons.
It has the "silver face" styling though.
With a keen eye, you can spot pretty much the identical unit in the background in scenes in the living room/den on the show "Young Sheldon".

Love that stuff!

I love stereo equipment from that era. Takes me back to my youth! I've got a few pieces, but nothing anywhere near that level, including two Kenwood receivers, one of which would have originally come with a turntable and speakers as a bit of a bump-up from the all-in-one units of that era, sort of a dorm room special. It probably dates from around 1980 and definitely looks more impressive than it actually is. The other one is mid-late '70s vintage. I've also got a Pioneer receiver from around the same timeframe, and a 1979 vintage Sony receiver with integrated cassette deck. Mine is the deluxe version with the wood panels on the sides. It also sold without the wood panels, and later in a black version with LED level meters for the cassette deck, instead of the analog ones that mine has. Other pieces from that era in my collection include a late '70s vintage Pioneer cassette deck and a '70s vintage Pioneer turntable that could all go together with the Pioneer receiver to form a '70s vintage Pioneer system. I've also got a really weird Sansui reverb amp with a cool color display that goes out of focus as you turn up the reverb. It was quite fun when accompanied with certain substances, of which I no longer partake.

Definitely looks like someone that bought all that for a social media fad and now it's outlived the novelty. lol

They do look cool all stacked up and arranged that way.

This is my setup but I've now relocated it to my basement with bigger speakers that are the right wattage (100w) so that I don't ruin my amp.
