Hey
So I have almost finished up my 560 restoration. It has original everything. The bag is in good shape. The cord I will be fixing but it's original.
I couldn't find any of my buffing compound. I found red Kirby and it looks like it was a 50 year old hot dog. It worked well. My buffer is second one from harbor freight. The cloth stock pads suck. I have 2 bench polishers so I can use 3 or even 4 compounds without switching everything out.
This is one clean 560. The only place having rust is spring. I need to use steel wool. It's basically brand new. I popped off bearing plate in awe. So polishing it up is almost complete I need to buff with a better head. Once polished it maybe nicest 560 ever or close to it. I'm good at polishing but don't claim to be the best. The vacuums condition went along way.
Here are pics of the parts. It's not perfect yet but it's pretty close.

Wow

The flash kind of make pics smudgy. The only scratches are on each side of nozzle. I'll take better pics tommorow as it should be done. I'll adjust flash but notice how clean motor emtor all interior is like new.
