Does anyone have any real experience with this vac. It seems to be more useful than the Dyson V6 for my needs. But all the reviews are from people who got their vac for free from Ole Baldy.

The Shark Rocket is VERY loud. Like tornado siren loud. Small capacity. Filters fill almost instantly with dust. Heavy to hold for more than a few minutes. Very hot exhaust air blowing very close to your upper body. Needs a hose (non stretch type) for dusting, as holding the machine is not acceptable for most dusting jobs.

I confess that I know nothing of the Shark so can not comment specifically on that machine.  However,  commercials and infomercials are designed to make the product look good.  Hence: I would not use them as a credible source.

Shark rocket

I have the first version of the rocket. It works ok. Picks up a lot of crap but it is kind of loud. I am selling mine. Just not my favorite vacuum. Love that it's fuschia but that's about it. I prefer my shark navigator upright more.

I have had the thought from the moment that these hand helds appeared on the market on how damaging they will be to hearing. After all, if you are lifting the vac upwards to clean ceilings or anything above your waist, the motor is coming nearer to your ears than a conventional smaller hand held dust buster.

If the motor is behind you and located at your behind / base of the machine then only the noise of suction air would be with you. Back pack vacs are great for industries like open spaces. I have been lucky enough to board aircraft early enough to watch cleaners with back packs but the machines look bulky in a confined space.

OK, I've played with my new ROCKET DELUXE PRO PET HV 322 66. I've tried all the attachments, power floor nozzle, dust-away hard floor attachment with micro fiber pad, pet hair eraser, mini motorized brush, dusting brush. Observations, first it is VERY quiet, far more so than the Kenmore Blueberry and certainly the Kirby. It is not overly heavy unless you use it over head. Dust cup a breeze to empty. Seems to do a good job on carpet, I will test it against the Kirby soon. So in closing Dysonman is wrong about everything concerning the Shark.
