Here's a very rare 3-row Electrolux power nozzle brush roller! A few weeks ago I was told that the Hospital G power nozzle came with this roller.

I called my friendly local retired Electrolux man and asked him about it. He said it wasn't especially made for the Hospital G but could be used with any of the PN-1s.

I asked him if he had any buried away somewhere. He said he might, but wasn't sure. He'd look around, he said, and if he found one he'd call me.

Then the other day I called him to ask him about the steel wool pads for the B7/B8 I was looking for. He said he'd look for those too.

He called me yesterday and said he had found both! I went out to meet him in Santa Monica. He did have the 3-roll brush which he charged me a pretty penny for! I didn't complain, though, because he's been so great in the past about practically giving me stuff.

But the polisher pads were a bust -- they were those green "Scotchbrite" pads -- not steel wool -- which I already have a s#!tload of. But since he was so kind about looking for them for me I bought them anyway.

Back to the 3-row brush roller, he said he never sold any of them except to a couple of people who apparently had heard about them and wanted them. He never demonstrated a power nozzle with a 3-row brush roller. He kept a couple on hand but, like I said, really didn't push them. Which is how I came to have this one! Well, *blush* two of them... I'll probably put one of them on eBay. We'll see...

He also gave me a big plastic Hoover rug shampooing machine. That thing is enormous! I don't know if it works or how to even use it, and neither did he. It is clear and blue plastic with two buckets on the front of it, and a long, white hose of some sort. I'm probably going to take it to the thrift shop to see if they want it because I haven't any need for it, but didn't want to turn it down since he really did want to get rid of it. I'd offer to give it to a collector but it's so big and heavy that it would cost a fortune to ship.

Electrolux brushes

This may have been standard on the CA/CB PN-1.Comm PN would have 3 wire cord,steel wand and different elbo.There was a later chart with optional brushes through PN-4 and first upright.Few knew about or wanted any but the standard brush.They ranged from softer brush for antique rugs to a brush with 2 rows of bristle and a plastic beater bar for first UR.May be able to locate chart on a search for Regina/Sunbeam parts.
Do you have any of the B-7 brushes with the square cut out for standard hardware store steel wool?

I do have a set (never used) of the square-cutout B7 brushes. Besides not wanting to use them and ruin them, I figured they would not work as well as separate steel-wool pads since only part of the brush surface would be covered with the steel wool.

I just learned from Tom Gasko -- and now you! -- that there was also a PN brush roller with horsehair bristles. I never knew that. Nor did I know about the other variables.

I don't think the 3-brush roller was standard on the CB. Possibly the CA, but I remember a brand-new CB (chrome & 1205-turquoise) in a church where I used to play the organ. It did have a long coiled-vinyl hose (light gray) with a 3-wire PN cord strapped around it. But the PN had a standard brush roll; I clearly remember that. If it had been anything but a standard brush roll, I would have noticed!

Power Nozzle Brush Selector (6-76)

Found a chart before the first upright.It shows that both PN-1 & 2 had 2 row domestic brush,3 row commercial and 2 row soft brush available.(the 3 row above is service no 10368)The PN-4 had 2 row domestic,comm agitator brush
& 2 row soft brush available.(Similar brushes were continued on first UR)
Agitator/bristle was recommended for indoor/outdoor type.Soft for delicate.And for 'splush' there was the agitator/bristle and spacers(under bottom plate)for PN-4 and later UR.
Also noticed a folder for CB with PN-2 in same both that shows nozzle with 2 row brush and announces they there are now 'NEW' paper filters available for CB.
