3 or more Kirby generations?

How many generations of Kirbys are there? According to Kirby there are 3 the duels. The classics and heritages etc and then the gseries and the sentria. My arguments are the tradition heritage and legend are on a slightly different platforms than the classics as well as the sentria compared to the gseries. Also the question comes to mind as far as Scott fetzer is considered wouldn't the vacuette and other pre qoute Kirby vacuums be factored in. Look forward to knowing your inputs
 
Look at it from the standpoint of motor design. From the Electric Vacuette through the end of the 515, the motor assemblies were virtually the same. The 516 through the end of the Classic I, were virtually identical motors, with the last 3 models being 2 speed. The Classic Omega through the end of the Legend II were identical motors, no difference at all. All the G series motors are identical.
 
Oooooh whoops, you're right Steve, I just tried it. I'll work on getting that fixed today. Thank you so much for reporting it.
