Yes, mine needs a restoration now (still have it) but when it was working it worked really well. They have a good weight to them (it seems to be rather close to a Kirby), they certainly do not "float" over the topside of the carpet. It will dig in. It can pull itself along the carpeting if you leave it parked. Good grooming and agitation as well. The downside to this was that dumb plastic screen cone, but once you get used to it you become a master at lining it up blind and can reattach it with ease. Also the bin is pretty small, so I often had to empty it 2 or 3 times when vacuuming. The people that do not empty their bagless vacs will find it impossible to use this one as it simply will not be stuffed.
The feather duster is more of a toy than anything useful, but I never was a fan of feather dusters anyway. This was one of the better bagless vacuums you could buy in the mid 2000's. I do not have the MSRP handy but I am sure it was quite over $100.
