I wish my work bench was as organized as yours

Alphonse,

I have parallel line disorder. No, Im just kidding....lol!! I just like a clean work area. It makes it less stressful to fix things when you have space around you. I see that you are in Detroit? You work for Banks? B&D? United or Bells?

Actually

Neither. I'm a semi retired builder. I'm familiar with all of those shops, especially banks. Most of my new vacs I buy are from Arbor Vac in A2. Your not that far from me, I actually live in Northville. Easier just to say Detroit.

Great Westinghouse!

Think it must be the last version of that style upright. Never saw one like that with disposable bags before. So nice of your Mom to find it and pick it up for you!

Actually

This is the LAST Westinghouse upright made in 57 and 58, After the one stroke was so unpopular, they went back to this style. They started making uprights again with the Convertovac in the 60s.

Another Westy that I have never seen.

I have one that I have never seen another one exactly like it.  I like that one because it has the paper bag system.

Westinghose made some really nice looking uprights,

The 1955 One Stroke, which was similar to Singers Twin Fan, was a ugly duckling and as far as I can tell, it didn't sell too well, that is the only reason I can imagine why it was dropped and the older style was brought back, the oddball one stroke WAS sold for several more years as a Wards Signature????
