Thought I would share this clip, put out by Sears in 1955, called "Pitch, Plant, Profit". It features two salesmen trying to sell vacuums to potential prospects. Interesting blast from the past.
The "top of the line" model at that time was the KenKart. Notice the box the salesman brings to the door is so big (and heavy) he has some kind of handle/holder attached to it. He would have to assemble the upper part of the Kart before he could "leave it for a few days". And what a bear to have to take apart and put back in the box if she didn't buy it.
