1928 Hoover 700/725 advice needed

As a newbie to the group I'd like to ask, has anyone had experience of finding out the best replacement sweeper brush bars to fit the Hoover 700 series cleaner. Which is the best fit or gives the best results etc? Was the agitator used in other models?

Also, two of the machines I have here have an extra beater bar on the agitator of about an inch and a half long. This didn't seem to be continued. Any ideas why?

I have bought some 700 brush strips

from these guys on EBAY before. They are a good seller and I guess he is selling off all kinds of old hoover , eureka parts and others, from a old Vacuum repair store that went out of business.... They are good folks to buy from......Dan
