Hi Everyone,
Since my surgery year before last, I have had a really difficult time with things like vacuuming and sweeping/mopping the floor. My Kirby Sentria makes the vacuuming much easier. I had been thinking about a Hoover FloorMate for my hard floors (which I have a lot of), and saw they have them at Big Lots. I was going to buy one there, but next door to them is a large thrift store. I walked over there, and low and behold, they had one in almost new condition. It was priced at $20 so I snapped it up. It is a model H3000, and looks like it may have been used once or twice at most. I went to Hoover's site and downloaded the manual for it, and think I have the operation and maintenance procedures down. Question is, it says to use Lysol or Old English cleaning solution. Is this the normal product from the store, or is it something made just for the FloorMate? If it's special where do I find it? Can you use other cleaners in it? It specifically says not to use pine based cleaners in it. Why not? Also, any experiences and thoughts any of you have had with it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
