I never had a dyson...but I have had
A Miele S7, which I found too top heavy, too heavy period. I am a collector and very easy on my vacuums, but already this vacuum will not shut off, you have to plug and unplug. The bag holder springs came off and you have to just push up when putting a bag in. I don't care enough to get this vacuum fixed so....This vacuum is going to be a trade in on a new Miele S6 or S8 and is sitting in my garage.
Never had a Dyson so I can't comment.
I have a Felix and absolutely love it. After reading many glowing reviews from club members I had to have one. William1248 I hope you will eventually try one, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. The grooming is the best out of any upright in my collection, including a Sanitaire. While the hose is short, you can buy an extension hose that will fit all Sebo vacuums and is great. You can get on a step ladder and clean those vaulted ceiling fans with ease and not tip over the vacuum. It has a very long cord, that I can plug in once and do all my rooms. The only other vacuum I have that will do this is the Sebo D4. I did buy an extra dusting brush to go with it as well and 4 extension tubes....The swivel neck is great and the L shaped power nozzle gets in tight places other vacuums cannot get.
Trebor,
I have had a Lindhaus Valzer and the build quality was just as you say. The power nozzle grooms well but there is too much dead space on the bottom of the power nozzle and I feel in order to edge clean well, I need to use a crevious tool. Bag changes take getting used to as well. Just my thoughts on the Lindhaus. They do have some unusual tools with the felt floor pads that seem to work well on smooth flooring, but not tile floors.
