1100 and 1118 Dial a matic.

Hello Hoover people, I would like to know what is the difference between the 1100 and 1118 DAM? They look the same to me. I have an 1118 but sadly the sides were replaced in a white color but another one will come my way i'm sure.

1118 Had the bag-check indicator and you could remove the hose from the back of the bag door to unclog, if need be.  The 1100 did not have those two features.  I'm pretty sure those are the only differences.

The first Dial-A-Matic

I know that the very first Dial-A-Matic had problems because the user couldn't pull out the hose to check for clogs. I remember reading a thread that discussed the first Dial-A-Matic. I can see now that Fred already answered this question.
